China: Hackers Steal South Korean Secrets October 15, 2010 Chinese hackers stole South Korean defense and foreign affairs secrets by using bogus emails with attached files claiming to be from Seoul officials and diplomats, South Korea’s National Intelligence Service said Oct. 15, AFP reported. The hacking was discovered in early 2010 and government offices were warned, a spokesman stated. Lawmaker Lee Jung Hyun told parliament that a “considerable volume” of classified documents might have been leaked.
